SHIRLEY LOUISE NEEDHAM

                Shirley Louise Needham 84 of Harrison went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 10, 2021. Shirley passed at Northwoods Nursing Center-Farwell. Shirley was born September 19, 1936 in Logan, Ohio, the daughter of Ivan Dawley and Esther (Lehman) Dawley. On November 6, 1954 in Saginaw, Shirley was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Mr. Donald Arthur Needham. Mr. Needham preceded Shirley in death on January 10, 2021 after sixty-six years of marriage.          

                Mrs. Needham had resided in Harrison since 2014, moving from Breckenridge, Michigan. Shirley retired from St. Lukes Hospital in Saginaw after twenty-five years of dedicated service as a Nurses Aide and Housekeeper. She loved working in her yard and tending to her floral gardens. Shirley was an avid member of the Red Hat Society for many years, enjoying the friendships made. She also enjoyed crafting, and watching television shows, especially various movies.

                Surviving Mrs. Needham are her four children; Dan Needham and wife Susan of Freeland, Michigan, Dale Needham and wife Lisa of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Ann Kory of Harrison, Michigan and Sandra Tomich of Washington D.C., ten grandchildren; David, Danielle, Darrin, Abby, Michael, Donald, Nathan, Heather, Cody and Nico, six great-grandchildren, plus two arriving soon, two sisters in – law; Nancy Dawley of Hemlock, Michigan and Ann Dawley of Oscoda, Michigan, plus many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Mrs. Needham also was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Donald Needham, one granddaughter, Nikita Needham, one sister, Pauline Manifold and four brothers; Chuck Dawley, Patrick Dawley, Junior Dawley and Orville Dawley.

                Cemetery services honoring Mrs. Needham will be held Friday, March 19, 2021 at 3:00 at Midland Memorial Gardens, Midland.
