Staff writer, paginator
Dianne began her work in the newspaper business in February 1995, and joined The Clare County Cleaver in May 2015. She spent more than 18 years at The Mining Journal in Marquette, Mich., the Upper Peninsula's largest daily newspaper, where she served the editorial department as administrative assistant, lifestyles editor, wire editor, reporter and pagination specialist. Dianne is a Gladwin Senior High School and Mid Michigan Community College graduate. She also attended Northern Michigan University.
Office Manager
Beth’s official title is Office Manager but she is the organizational force that keeps things running at the Cleaver. With her background in graphic design she makes and manages ads and is the friendly face at our front desk. Beth is dedicated to our customers and uses her creativity to make extra special projects for them.
Editor
Angela and her family recently acquired the newspaper in 2017 from the Bucholz family. Angela is a local historian, author, librarian and long-time Harrison resident.
Print Manager
Brian heads up the Print Department and runs our presses, cutting machines and other magical devices to create professional print products for our customers. Brian also does newspaper layout, graphic design, and distribution of the newspaper. He is a member of the Bucholz family that purchased the paper in 1937 and has worked at the paper for over twenty years. Brian says, “If it’s made in paper, I can make it.”
