Richard Dwight Brown

Richard Dwight Brown, age 82, our beloved father, brother and friend went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. Richard was born on November 27, 1941 in Cook County Illinois to Kenneth Edward Brown and Dorothy Blanche (Glassford) Brown. 

                Rick has resided in Chicago, IL, Lansing, Pompeii, Alma, Harrison, Holt and many points in between.  He was a house painter by trade. He loved fishing and watching movies-action, western, or horror.  He was easy to talk to and made friends wherever he went.  He was also a bit of a party animal but all in good fun.  He believed in peace and harmony and did his best to live by the bible.  He would recite a prayer every morning when he woke up and every night before bed thanking the Lord for the blessing of another day.  

                Rick was an easy-going guy. “Peace and Love” was his motto and the words he tried to live his life by.  He was as relaxed and free as a man could be and very happy going.  He did not let a day go by without thanking the Lord for another day.

                Surviving Rick are his brother Roy Martin Brown of Florida; his children Karri L (Andrew) Howe, and Kaleb R. M. (Zoe Melcher) Brown and Kaylee N. L. Brown; his grandchildren; Victoria Lee Gregory, Steven James Howe, Kristina Rachel Rosa Bermudez, Benjamin Allen Brown and Zachary Ryan Brown, great grandchildren; Andreyas Evander Bermudez, Katia Lynn Lashay Dodd, Cassius Jay Morgan, Christian Alonzo Morgan, Jaiden Michael Brown, Freedom Kaiden Doin and Conner Ryan Fredrick Brown, and great, great-grandchild; NaLeah LaReyna Bermudez.  Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Edward Brown and Dorothy Blanche (Glassford) Brown, and his children; Kraig Martin Brown, Keith Michael Brown, Kevin Mark Brown and Kristi Lynn Brown.
