Peggy Ann Cooper

Peggy Ann Cooper aged 73 of rural Harrison passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Covenant Medical Center Cooper, Saginaw, Michigan. Peggy was born June 30, 1950, in Gladwin County, Michigan, the daughter of Frank A. Campbell and Gladys Eileen (Sharp) Cooper.

Peggy was united in marriage to Mr. Eldon H. Cooper on February 12, 1969, in Harrison. She had resided in Harrison since 1997, moving from Skeels.

Mrs. Cooper enjoyed the togetherness she shared with her sister Julie, while they painted pictures of castles and scenery of Scotland. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, especially during Christmas and Thanksgiving when they could all be together for the sharing of home-cooked meals and family time. Peggy liked spending time in her vegetable and floral gardens, playing the piano, watching ghost and spooky themed movies, playing card games with her family, reading and spoiling her grandchildren.

Surviving Peggy is her husband of fifty-four years, Mr. Eldon H. Cooper of Harrison, three children; Laura Lee Kelly of Harrison, Frank Douglas Cooper of Harrison and Michael Harry Cooper also of Harrison, nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, three siblings; David Campbell and wife Barb of Harrison, Douglas Campbell and wife Mary also of Harrison and Julie Cooper and husband Jeff of Harrison, plus a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services honoring Peggy will be held Monday, October 2, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. from Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel, 165 West Oak Street, Harrison with Mr. Benjamen Evers officiating. Visitation will take place on Monday, October 2, 2023, from 11:30 a.m. until time of service. Memorial gifts in memory of Peggy may be considered to: St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
