Patrick Herman Staudenmaier was born in Menominee, Michigan to Patrick and Frances (Behnke) Staudenmaier on October 18, 1971.  He lost his battle with cancer October 22, 2023 at the age of 52.

Patrick (Pat) grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin with his mother and his older brother, Joe. In 1990, Pat moved to Lansing, Michigan to pursue a Bachelor of Arts, at Michigan State University.  He later went on to earn his doctoral degree in Fine Arts at University of Wisconsin -Madison. Pat married Lika (Freeman) in September of 2020 and in October of 2021 they welcomed their son, Johnathan.

Pat loved easily and was loved by many. If you were Pat's friend, you were also his family and he would do anything for family. Pat enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, cooking (and eating) and teaching others the art of glass and ceramic work.  Spotted Cow, Jameson, and smoking a good cigar  were a few of Pat’s guilty pleasures he enjoyed with those he loved.  Before settling down and starting his family, Pat often enjoyed the social scene at Green Door Bar and Grill, sitting at the end of the bar, watching sports and drinking a pint of  Labatt’s.

Before Pat got sick, he was employed as a wholesale manager at Delphi Glass. He was a jokester; so much so that when diagnosed with a brain tumor his family called his wife to verify. He faced his incurable illness head-on with grace, humor, and as always, with a positive attitude.  Pat loved being with family and friends, gardening, and sitting in silence out in nature while connecting with God. His pride, love, and joy was undeniable when he would speak of his son, Johnathan.

Pat is survived by wife Lika Staudenmaier, his son Johnathan Staudenmaier, his mother Frances Staudenmaier, his brother Joseph (Theresa) Staudenmaier, aunts and uncles; Maggie (Sid) Meyers, Irene (Curt) Mayou, Nancy (late Andy) Andersen, Edith (late Mike) Stanislawski, Pam (late John) Nerat and many first, second, and third cousins in Wisconsin, Michigan, and abroad. He is also survived by his mother and father-in-law Mike and Susan Freeman, brother-in-law Edward (Kristen) Freeman, sister-in-law April (Jacob) Wilkins and nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his God kids, Ashley Beyer, Alex Beyer and Bruce Beyer.

Pat was preceded in death by his father Patrick Staudenmaier, his grandparents; Frederick and Marion Staudenmaier and Earl and Patricia Behnke, uncles; Gerald Staudenmaier, James Staudenmaier, Wilbur Staudenmaier, Thomas Staudenmaier, Dennis Staudenmaier, Roger Gratto, John Nerat, Andy Anderson, Mike Stanislawski.

The first celebration of Life will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2023 at the Emergency Rescue Squad, 2710 Woleske Road in Marinette, Wisconsin. A second celebration of life service for Patrick will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at the Green Door Bar and Grill, 2005 East Michigan Avenue in Lansing, Michigan.

Memorial donations can be directed to his wife Lika Staudenmaier for the care and education of their child, Johnathan.

The family would like to give thanks to the Residential Hospice staff.  Everybody was a great help in not only making sure Pat was comfortable but also in  comforting the family.  Pat's nurse, Shannon, called our son on his second birthday and sang happy birthday to him.
