Pastor Jerald Eugene Wardell

                Pastor Jerald Eugene Wardell age 88, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Jerald was born March 12, 1935, in Royal Oak, Michigan the son of Ernest F. Wardell and Frances M. Jerald was united in marriage to Ms. Martha Carolyn Fredericks on December 31, 1971, in Pontiac, Michigan.

Mr. and Mrs. Wardell had resided in Harrison since 1991, moving from Pontiac, Michigan. Jerald retired from the Operating Engineers Local 324 after forty years of dedicated service operating heavy equipment. Pastor Wardell was a pastor with Truth of Jesus Christ Church of Harrison for eighteen years. Pastor Wardell enjoyed operating heavy equipment, caring for people, his cat and dog and visiting various churches around the area.

Surviving Jerald is his loving wife of fifty-one years, Mrs. Martha C. Wardell of Harrison, four children: Mark Wardell and wife Vicki of Mount Morris, Michigan, Kenneth Wardell of Holly, Michigan, Katrina McKenzie of Kimball, Michigan, and Jay D. Hollis of Harrison, many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, plus numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, his cat, Rascal, and his dog, Peanut. Mr. Wardell was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Jerald Eugene Wardell II, one daughter, Cynthia Herr, son-in-law, Steven McKenzie, six sisters and five brothers.

Funeral services honoring Pastor Jerald Eugene Wardell will be held Monday, June 5, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. from Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel and Cremation Service. A time of gathering will take place on Monday, June 5, 2023, from 12:30 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Harrison.
