Virginia Ann Fultz

Much loved wife, mother, and grandmother, Virginia Ann Fultz (nee Osborn) passed away quietly at home, Saturday, February 24, 2024, two weeks shy of her 91st birthday.

Ginny, to those who knew and loved her, was born in Saginaw, Michigan on March 5th, 1933 to Edgar Homer and Emma Mandelina (Smith) Osborn. She was the youngest of 8 children and the loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Keith and Ginny spent their lives in Michigan, starting their family in Midland, later enjoying many years in Clare, before finally retiring to the woods of Wolverine. Ginny is survived by her husband of 66 years, Keith Johnson Fultz; their four daughters, Deborah Murray, Laura (Aaron) Carey, Karen (Douglas) Lynch, and Linda Osborn; grandchildren, Jennifer Murray, John Carey, Kate (Peter) Walugembe (nee Carey), Mark (Julia) Carey, Ethan and Rowan Lynch; and 6 wonderful great grandchildren. Ginny was a voracious reader, singer, gardener, and a passionate defender of democracy. In season, “Broomie” could be found on the bench keeping score, holding personal items, and providing staunch support for the Peppermint Lounge and then Hilltop fastpitch softball team. She was a lifelong, true blue fan of the Detroit Tigers, the Detroit Redwings, and sometimes the Detroit Lions. Her extensive nutcracker collection at Christmas was the envy of all, including Santa; and their home is adorned with many of the beautiful needlework pieces she created over the years while her family proudly sports her gorgeous knit and crochet work. A celebration of her life (a simple family gathering? A party in her honor? A raucous beer brawl? A pillow fight?) is planned for later this year. In lieu of flowers, donate to your favorite charity, or please order a Bucilli's pizza, crack open a Budweiser, and share your favorite memories of Ginny with the ones you love most.
