Penelope "Penney" Bosch Lockwood, 78, of Harrison passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Mid Michigan Medical Center-Clare. Penney was born on December 24, 1941 in Marion, West Virginia to Marian and Peter Bosch. Penney graduated from Edsel Ford High School Dearborn in 1960 where she played the cello with many awards. Following high school Penney studied at Eastern Michigan University. She then began her family in Southgate, MI. Penney worked for Michigan Bell and then for Kresge/K-Mart Corporation where she retired after 30 years of service. Following her retirement, she and her husband, Jan, moved to Harrison from Southgate where they had lived since marrying in 1982. Both were active at the local Moose Lodge and Legion hall. Penney held office as Jr Regent of Women of the Moose. She worked in the kitchen and volunteered during many of events with her favorite was volunteering for the kids Christmas Program. Penney has a great love for hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends. Penney is preceded in death by her spouse, parents, siblings, and a grandson. Penney leaves 4 children, 2 step children of which one she helped raise and loved, 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and many friends. A fun fact, many years ago at a family and friends holiday gathering Penney was given the endearing nickname "Granny Bad Ass" which she answered to proudly from all of the grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all!
