Larry Whittaker

Larry Allen Whittaker, 88, of Beaverton, Michigan, passed away peacefully at Covenant Hospital in Saginaw on December 30, 2023, surrounded by his family. Larry was born on March 17, 1935, to Kermit and June Whitaker in St. Johns, Michigan, the oldest of 5 children; and spent most of his childhood growing up in Ovid, Michigan.

His favorite hobbies were hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death and widower of Marie Whittaker, and Anita June Whittaker; his parents, Kermit and June Whitaker; sisters, Connie Strahota and Sally Houseman; brother, Kerry Whitaker and grandson, Robbie Henry.

He is survived by his children, Martha Henry (Robert), Valerie Bernard, Vicki Cappa, Penny Smith (Steve), Tammy Johnson (Charlie), Anita Jo Towns, Andrew Millutin (Laurie), Larry Whittaker (Gisela), Allen Whittaker, Charles Whittaker (Michelle), Christopher Whittaker (Chris Ann); brother, Jerry Whitaker (Kathy), as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchild, nieces and nephews and his sidekick Tootsie, his much-loved cat.

Cremation has taken place per Larry's wishes and a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. He will be sadly missed and quietly remembered, no longer in our life, but in our hearts.
