Dorothy Minnie Cattell

Dorothy Cattell was born December 6, 1927, in Ecorse, Michigan, the daughter of August P. Masson and Lucy (Ostrander-Hollister) Masson. Dottie married Paul J. Lavin in March 1948 in Detroit, Michigan. Paul Lavin died on September 1973. Dottie married Louis I. Cattell on October 1979. Louis Cattell passed on April 2000. Dottie moved to Harrison Michigan in 1993 after retiring from IDC Credit Union in Ann Arbor. She worked 34 years in Credit Unions at Ann Arbor Co-op CU, VA Employees CU, and the Argus Employees CU.

Dottie liked reading, walking, swimming, and when younger motorcycling. She volunteered at the Harrison Moose Club and Harrison Snowrider’s Club into her 89th year. Surviving are four sons: Mike (Christine) Lavin of South Lyons, MI, Mark (Eloise) Lavin of Chelsea, MI, Tom (Lee) Lavin, Fishers, IN, Jim (Sandy) Lavin, of Jackson, MI and a daughter Patricia (Doug) Kalmbach, Pinckney, MI. Also a step son Fred (Amy) Cattell, Stockbridge, MI Sister Betty (Paul) Lushnat, Mesick, MI. Preceded in death by stepdaughter Vicki (Dave) Hancock of Clinton, MI. Dottie was blessed with 12 Grandchildren,17 Great Grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be set for a future date to be determined.
