Nona Rae Harmon 68 of Farwell passed away at her home in the early morning hours on Monday, July 13, 2020. Nona was born in Clare on September 25, 1951 to parents Walter Harold and Lola Mae (Cowles) Henry, 1 of twelve children. Nona earned her bachelor’s degree and worked most of her life as a librarian. She had 2 children of her own and raised many more, where there was a child in need, she was there. Nona was a dedicated member the VFW Auxiliary post 3039 Labor Day Committee for many years. She enjoyed reading, hunting and crossword puzzles, but more than anything, she loved being a grandmother as her grandchildren and great grandchildren meant the world to her.

Nona will be dearly missed by her 2 children Dawn (Nyle) Stittsworth and Shawn Harmon, her grandchildren; Shelby Rae Eagle (Dylan Hart), Gage Charles (Rebecca) Eagle, Damion Walter (Emily) Harmon, Sierra Alynn Harmon, Chloe Marie Harmon, Trevor Johnson, Dominique Johnson. 3 great granddaughters and 2 great grandsons, 4 siblings; Jean Weaver, Barry (Reva) Henry, Robert (Marty) Henry and Rodney (Doris) Henry. Nona was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Harold and Lola Mae (Cowles) Henry, and siblings Geraldine Arts, Betty Williams, Larry Henry, Nora Osborn, Benjamin Henry, Geraldine Ferrenburg, Frieda Henry and Winfield Henry.

Services honoring Nona’s life will take place at the Campbell Stocking Funeral Home in Farwell on Friday, July 17, 2020 with visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. You are invited to share memories and condolences with Nona’s family online at www.CampbellStocking.com.
