Nathan “Nate” Neil Strickland

                Nathan “Nate” Neil Strickland age 38 of Harrison, passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, January 7, 2024. Nathan was born December 20, 1985 in Rochester Hills, Michigan the son of Roger Lane Strickland and Gwen (Smith) Strickland. Nate was a graduate of Harrison Community Schools in 2004. He was employed with Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort as a Security Officer for the past eleven years, as well as working for Amazon as a delivery person. Previously, Nate had worked as a Land Surveying Technician for several years. He attended Grace Fellowship Church of Gladwin. Nate enjoyed playing billiards, reading comic books with his son and daughter, playing hockey, competing in Archery events, target shooting, watching super hero movies, and listening to Podcasts and comedy. Nathan was a recipient of Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort “Star of Excellence” award, for his outstanding work ethic and dedication.

                Surviving Nathan are his two children; his son, Harry Strickland of Mount Pleasant, Michigan, daughter, Jersey Strickland also of Mount Pleasant, five aunts; Vickie Gress, Sharon Smith, Gail Michel, Stacey Bondie and husband Dave and Marlene Strickland, one uncle, Carl Strickland and wife Laurie, many close and loving cousins, who referred to Nate as, “Uncle Nate”, the mother of his children, Tiffany Strickland of Mount Pleasant, plus numerous friends, work family and extended family members. Nathan was preceded in death by his parents; Roger and Gwen Strickland, maternal grandparents; Grant and Jewelline Smith and paternal grandparents; Neil and Norma Strickland.

                Funeral Services for Nate will be held Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. from Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel and Cremation Service, 165 West Oak Street, Harrison. Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until time of service. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Pleasant Plains Cemetery, Harrison.
