                Marilyn Joyce Wilson age 91 of rural Harrison passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at The Laurels of Mount Pleasant. Marilyn was born January 14, 1932 in Greenwood Township, Harrison, the daughter of LaVerne and Della Dorothy (Roe) Woodin. Marilyn graduated from Harrison High School in 1950. Marilyn was united in marriage to Mr. Dale Walter Wilson on June 20, 1951 in Harrison. Mr. Wilson preceded Marilyn in death on February 4, 2001 after forty-nine years of marriage.

                Mrs. Wilson had resided the majority of her lifetime in Harrison. She retired from Harrison Community Schools after many years of work, serving the local students with a warm meal and grandmotherly love. Marilyn was a member of Community of Christ Church-Gladwin for several years. Marilyn was a member of Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, floral and vegetable gardening and canning her yearly harvests.

                Surviving Mrs. Wilson are her seven children: Dale Wilson and wife Ellen of Alabama, Richard Wilson of Harrison, Debby Wilson of Harrison, Darryl Wilson and wife Linda of Florida, Gladys Wilson of Harrison, Verne Wilson and wife Mary of Harrison and Della Coffin and husband Craig also of Harrison, fourteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, many great-great grandchildren, plus several nieces, nephews and extended family members. Marilyn also was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Dana Wilson, two granddaughters: Nichole Wilson and Kerri Wilson, five sisters and two brothers.

                Funeral services honoring Mrs. Wilson will be held Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel with Mr. Dan French officiating. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 11:30 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Harrison.
