Marijke Ingrid Reedy age 72 of Marion, Michigan went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 19, 2024. Marijke was born March 21, 1951, in Bandoeng, Indonesia the daughter of Willemstad Kuiler and Elisabeth (Bierlee) Kuiler. Marijke graduated from Avondale High School, Auburn Heights, Michigan in 1969. Following her high school graduation, Marijke continued her education and completed her Licensed Practical Nurse certification.

Marijke was united in marriage to Mr. Glen Reedy on October 7, 2017, in Marion. Mr. Reedy preceded Marijke in death on March 2, 2020. She had resided in Marion since 2018, moving from Harrison. Marijke was very faithful in reading her Bible, enhancing her faith and was a Prayer Warrior. She was very passionate about her work in various Alzheimer’s floors at many nursing homes throughout her nursing career. Marijke relished the time she spent loving on her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, shopping and having lunch dates with her girls. Gardening and floral gardening was a relaxing past time for Marijke as well as camping. Many will fondly remember Marijke for her infectious and contagious laugh and smile.

Mrs. Reedy is survived by her two daughters; Shannon Lighthall of Harrison and Rachel Reynolds and husband Jessie also of Harrison, three grandchildren; Madi LaTulip and husband John, Maecy Lighthall and Deven Wolkins, two great-grandchildren; Branson LaTulip and Archie LaTulip, one brother, Erik Kuiler and wife Susan of West Virginia, one sister, Jeri Bishopp of Howell, Michigan, two nephews; Cam Dean and Scotter Botch Dean, plus many extended family members and her loving and spoiled fur baby, Lady. Mrs. Reedy also was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Michael Laing.

Celebration of Life services honoring Marijke will be held in the spring of 2024 at Sylvan Township Cemetery, Marion, Michigan.
