Kenneth “Ken” Edward Hills

                Kenneth “Ken” Edward Hills age 85 of Harrison passed away Friday, August 4, 2023, at MyMichigan Health-Midland. Ken was born May 12, 1938, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the son of Shirley E. Hills and Violet (Kinna) Hills. Ken attended and graduated from Hazel Park High School in 1956. Ken was united in marriage to Ms. Geraldine “Geri” E. Deremiah on April 6, 1963, in Ferndale, Michigan.

                He retired after many years as a Quality Assurance Manager at Allan Tool & Machine Company, Troy, Michigan. Ken has resided in Harrison since 2004, moving from Royal Oak, Michigan. He was President of Harrison Leota Snowriders Snowmobile Club for the past sixteen years. He was a member of Harrison Moose Lodge and Family Center #2235 and attended St. Luke Lutheran Church, Harrison. Ken enjoyed woodworking, gardening and was an avid snowmobiler.

                He was the beloved husband of sixty years to Geri. Loving father to Theresa Hills, Gregory (Traci) Hills, three stepdaughters: Cheryl (Roger) Mathews, Jacqueline Buhr and Michelle (Don) Savich, one stepson, Chuck (Joyce) Vroom, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, twelve step-great grandchildren, one step-great great grandchild arriving in August, plus many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, one stepson, Doug Vroom, one sister, Sylvia Demming and one brother, Lee Hills.

                Celebration of Life services honoring Mr. Hills will be announced at a later date.
