Joseph “Joe” Stanislaws Noseda, Sr.

Joseph “Joe” Stanislaws Noseda Sr., age 95 of Harrison passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Medilodge of Clare. Joseph was born Sunday, March 25, 1928, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Joseph S. Noseda and Prudence (Messeman) Noseda. Joseph graduated from De La Salle High School. Following his graduation, Joseph honorably enlisted in the United States Army and served his country during the Korean Conflict. On Saturday, September 30, 1950, in Detroit, Mr. Noseda was united in marriage to Ms. Patricia Joan Lenz. Mrs. Patricia J. Noseda preceded Joseph on Saturday, November 24, 2018, after sixty-eight years of marriage.

Mr. Noseda had resided in Harrison since 1971, moving from East Detroit, Michigan. Joe was past owner and operator of Noseda Construction of Harrison for over forty years before transitioning the ownership and operations of the company to his son Joe Noseda Jr. Mr. Noseda worked another five plus years beside his son, before hanging up his hammer and tape measure. Joe was passionate about his fishing adventures, building and crafting furniture and cabinets. He enjoyed camping, photography and riding motorcycles and snowmobiles. Joe was a Red Wings Hockey fan and even coached his boys in hockey when they were in school. Many say Joe was a “smooth and articulated” dancer and loved dancing to many genres of music.

Surviving Mr. Noseda are his three sons; Mark Noseda and wife Carol of Sterling Heights, Michigan, Joseph “Joe” S. Noseda Jr. and wife Patti of Harrison and Larry Noseda and wife Mary also of Harrison, like a son, Joe Blanton of Tennessee, one daughter-in-law, Pam Noseda of Warren, Michigan, five grandchildren; Renee Noseda, Jenna Hoekstra and husband Mike, Kara Noseda and husband Byron Slaton, Nicole Widrig and husband Mike and Mark Wilson, eight great-grandchildren, four great great-grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Barbara Noseda of Detroit, plus many nieces, nephews and extended family. Mr. Noseda also was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Steve Noseda, two grandsons; Mark Noseda II and infant Jason, one sister, Rosemary Blanton and three brothers; Gilbert Noseda, Albert Noseda and Charlie Noseda.

Celebration of Life services honoring Mr. Noseda will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. from Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel and Cremation Service, 165 West Oak Street, Harrison. A time of gathering to share memories and stories will take place on Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until time of service. Military Honors will be presented to Mr. Noseda immediately following service under the auspices of the United States Army and American Legion Post 1075 honor guard.
