Joe Warren Robert Dismore

                Joe Warren Robert Dismore, age 17, of Harrison passed away after a courageous battle on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo, Michigan. Joe was born August 30, 2006, in Grayling, Michigan the son of Chester Joe “Bud” Dismore and Sara Lynn (Sprague) Dismore.

                Joe was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Harrison and attended Great Lakes Center for Autism Treatment and Research of Portage, Michigan. He previously attended the Clare-Gladwin RESD until his transfer to Great Lakes Center for Autism Treatment. Joe enjoyed listening to 80’s music, camping trips with his family, being outdoors and watching GiggleBellies television series.

                Joe is survived by his mother, Sara Lynn Dismore of Harrison, one brother, Kris E. Sprague and Liz Hendrick of Harrison, maternal grandmother, Rosie Sprague of Harrison, paternal grandmother, Virginia Ruth Norris of Grubbs, Arkansas, two uncles; Brian Sprague and wife Lorraine of Harrison and Mark Sprague and wife Patricia of Gaines, Michigan, plus many extended family, friends and his beloved dog-nephew, Max. Joe was preceded in death by his father, maternal grandfather and paternal grandfather.

                A Funeral Mass celebrating Joe will be held Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. from St. Athanasius Catholic Church, 310 South Broad St., Harrison with Father David Parsch officiating. Visitation will take place Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until time of mass.
