Grace T. Switzer

Grace T. Switzer age 84 of Harrison passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Pioneer Golden Estates, Clare, Michigan. Grace was born Monday, August 28, 1939, in rural Harrison, the daughter of Raymon Smith and Grace (Woodruff) Smith. Grace was a graduate of Harrison Community Schools, class of 1957. Grace was united in marriage to Mr. Ronald “Ron” D. Switzer on November 25, 1960 in Harrison.

Mrs. Switzer has resided in Harrison her entire life. Grace retired from Harrison Community Schools after many years of dedicated service. Grace was a past member of Harrison Sportsmans Club. She enjoyed snowmobiling, sewing, embroidering, camping trips, vacationing in Florida for the winters, attending Detroit Tigers spring training games while in Florida and watching televised Detroit Tigers games.

Surviving Grace is her husband of sixty-three years, Mr. Ronald “Ron” D. Switzer of Harrison, three daughters; Tanya Marcum and husband John of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Kim Schuler and husband Brian of Houghton Lake, Michigan and Tyann Sherrick and husband Dave of Harrison, six grandchildren; Matthew Marcum and wife Bri, Lauren Theusch and husband Mike, Jessika Gehrke and husband Chris, Katelyn Sherrick and fiancé, Michael Taylor, Cameron Sherrick and wife Aja and Madison Ramirez and husband Raymond, three great-grandchildren; Winnie, Sebastian and Wren, many nieces, nephews, extended family and her fur baby, Benny. Grace was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Betty and Norma and two brothers; Raymon and her twin brother, Gary.

Funeral services honoring Grace will be held Saturday, March 30, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. from Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel and Cremation Service, Harrison with Mr. Rod Reid officiating. Visitation will take place on Saturday, March 30, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Harrison.
