Gabriel “Gabe” Robert Shellito, age 22, of Harrison passed away tragically on Thursday, September 7, 2023 in Gratiot County from fatal injuries due to a motorcycle accident. Gabriel was born October 16, 2000 in Saginaw, Michigan the son of Marvin Alfred Shellito and Christina Marie (Wright) Shellito.           

Gabe was a graduate of Harrison Community Schools in 2019. While in school he loved playing football and basketball, lettering in both sports. Soon after graduating from high school, Gabe attended and graduated from Mid-Michigan College of Harrison with a degree in Automotive Mechanics. He was a certified automotive and motorcycle mechanic. Gabe was employed as a mechanic and fabricator with his parents 508 of Saint Johns, Michigan. Welcome to the suga show. Gabe was strong, kind, warm hearted, loved his motorcycle and family. Always willing to help anyone in need, he wore his heart on his sleeve, he worried more about others than himself. Hardest working person you'd meet. He had an amazing old soul. He loved his fishing and hunting, football, UFC and MMA fights. He was a die-hard state fan. He was goofy as all get out and loved Katrina with his whole heart. He was respected by all and he'd give his niece the world if he could.

Surviving Gabe are his parents; Marvin and Christina Shellito of Harrison, two sisters; Mercedes Marie Shellito and fiancé Amber Carrell of Farwell, Michigan and Alleah Lynne Shellito and Dane Bailey of Harrison, girlfriend, Katrina Worden of Gladwin, Michigan, paternal grandparents; Lalonnie Sherman of Mt. Morris, Michigan and Steve Brown and wife Janet of Lansing, Michigan, maternal grandparents; Lynne Wright and Roy Patterson of Harrison and Robert N. Wright Jr. and Shelley of Goose Creek, South Carolina, one niece, Riverlynne Marie Bailey of Harrison, one paternal aunt, Angie Brown and Brian Brockway of Lansing, two paternal uncles; Kenny Shellito and Flora Corrigan of Houghton Lake, Michigan, Raymond Chedester of Mt. Morris, two maternal aunts; Lori Driggers of North Charleston, South Carolina and Rebecca Dora of James Island, South Carolina, plus numerous extended family, friends and customers. Gabe was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Marvin Shellito, two aunts; Kim Chedester and Jennie Chedester and four uncles; Jody Driggers, Glen Chedester, Randy Chedester and Gene Chedester.

Funeral services honoring Gabe was held Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. from Brown Corners Church, 5540 South Clare Avenue, Clare, Mi. 48617 with Pastor Jeremiah Ketchum officiating. Visitation was Thursday, September 14, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Memorial gifts in memory of Gabe may be considered to the Shellito family, in care of: Marvin or Christina Shellito.
