Dianna J. (Box) Scott

Dianna J.  (Box) Scott, age 78 of Harrison, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, June 27, 2023.  On October 24, 1944, Dianna was born one of six children to Cassel and Emma (Westendorf) Box in Midland.  She was united in marriage to James Scott on January 6, 1973, and together they enjoyed fifty years of marriage.  During her working years, Dianna had worked for the McKay Press printing company of Midland for several years, but her true joy and calling was that of tending to her home and family as a homemaker for most of her life.  When she wasn’t tending to her home, Dianna did enjoy camping with her family and motorcycle riding with James.

Dianna is survived by her husband James Scott of Harrison and her children Michael (Kayla) Scott of East Tawas and Kelly (Ted) Smith of Midland.  Other survivors include her grandchildren Douglas J. King, Jason King, and Rachel Gamache, her great-grandchildren Amelianna and Emma King, and her brothers Randy and Monty Box, and her sister Patty Olney.  She was preceded in death by her parents Cassel and Emma Box, her brothers Keith and John Box, and her grandson Trevor. 

In keeping with Dianna’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  A private graveside memorial will take place in Midland County’s Lee Township Cemetery where she will rest beside other family members at a date and time yet to be determined.  Memorial contributions in honor of Dianna have been encouraged to any charity of the donor’s choosing.  Online condolences may be shared with the Scott family on Dianna’s tribute page at www.stephenson-wyman.com
