Darlene Nancie Funk, age 74, of Harrison passed away suddenly at her home on Saturday, October 7, 2023. Darlene was born September 7, 1949, in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, the daughter of Edward Nutter and Elaine (Lowman) Nutter. Darlene graduated from Spring Valley High School, Wisconsin. She was united in marriage to Mr. Calvin “Joe” Cosgrove on February 3, 1968, in Wilson, Wisconsin. Mr. Cosgrove preceded Darlene in death on November 4, 2001. Darlene married Mr. Roger Charles Funk on June 26, 2003, in Sarona, Wisconsin.

Mrs. Funk had resided in Harrison since 2019, moving from Sarona, Wisconsin. Prior to residing in Sarona, Darlene lived in Harrison for numerous years. She adored and loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Darlene enjoyed traveling, camping, motorcycling, baking and cooking for her family, especially around the holidays. She was very passionate about decorating and baking during the Christmas holiday. Darlene enjoyed picking out a new book and “binge reading” it in a day or less.

Surviving Mrs. Funk is her husband of twenty years, Mr. Roger Charles Funk of Harrison, her three children; Joe Cosgrove and wife Melissa of Harrison, Francis Cosgrove of Harrison and Peggy Rauch of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, former son-in-law, Steve Rauch of Harrison, one step-daughter, Ginger Slade and husband Dave of Chicago, Illinois, one step-son, Jason Funk and wife Mandy of Blaine, Minnesota, twelve grandchildren; Wayne Cosgrove and Alexis Zboralski, Josh Cosgrove, Breanna Lopez and husband Frank, Jadyn Rauch and Casey Rundell, Katelynn Prout and husband Manuel, Chealsie Sehy, Zach Sehy, Kaitlyn Funk, Addy Funk, Jaron Funk, Meghan Slade and Ryan Slade, six great-grandchildren; Annabelle, Broly, Grayson, Emmeric, Bry and Juddson, one sister, Rosemary Saul of Arlington, Oregon, two brothers; Ted Litzkow and wife Ruby of Wisconsin and Larry Litzkow and wife Junella of Minnesota, special niece, Tina Bauer and husband Chad, plus many nieces, nephews, cousins-in-laws and friends. Mrs. Funk was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Shirley Scott, Glorinne Wahl, two brothers; Gary Litzkow and Don Litzkow.

Celebration of Life graveside inurnment services honoring Darlene will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 1:00 pm. from Evergreen Cemetery, Harrison.
