Daniel John Hostetler

Daniel John Hostetler, age 76, entered into eternal life on October 17, 2023. Daniel was born May 25, 1947, along with his younger twin brother to parents Donald and Marie (Leola) Hostetler. He and his twin brother were placed in a basket and set on the dining table in their family’s farmhouse.  Daniel and his family resided there until 1952.

            During Daniel’s adolescence, he sang and played multiple instruments in the church.  Daniel spent much of his time traveling, visiting Ohio, the east coast, Canada, Kansas, Kentucky and beyond. His education was completed at a private school in Indiana. In 1965, Daniel married Juanita and the two grew their family to include two girls, Bonnie and Jackie, who reside in Canada. He then went on to serve as the Vice President of the U-Haul company in Detroit, did standup comedy and performed music for The Holiday Inn.

            Daniel has resided in the Harrison community and worked for Walraven’s Car Wash for 20 years. He will be remembered as a kind man, frugal, but always willing to help out his fellow community members.

Daniel is survived by his daughters, Bonnie Raymont of Oshawa, Ontario, and Jackie TenBrink of Dunnville, Ontario; brother, Ken Hostetler of Georgia, and Richard Hostetler of Ohio.
