DALE ROBERT BROCKWAY

On Sunday, February 7, 2021, Dale Robert Brockway passed away at the age of 83.

Dale was born December 17, 1937 in Pontiac, MI to Howard and Ila (Van Blarcum) Brockway. Growing up, Dale lived and worked on his family’s farm in Harrison. He married Carolyn Faye Shroyer on June 3, 1961. The couple was married for 57 years, and together they ran Snow Snake Ski and Golf. They raised two children, Jann and Jeff.

Dale and Carolyn split their retirement years between summers in Harrison, Michigan and winters in Mission, Texas. Dale enjoyed golfing, collecting and restoring old tractors, and driving across the country with Carolyn in his RV. He could still even be spotted picking up range balls, mowing the grass, and fixing up odds and ends at Snow Snake. Dale was known for his unmatched sense of humor and wit, and never passed on an opportunity to spend time with his friends and family.

Dale was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn.  The couple passed away on Super Bowl Sunday, two years apart. Dale is survived by his daughter Jann and her husband John Cleary, their three daughters, Kalysta (Michael) Leary, Therese (Mick) Haley, and Madison, great grandchildren Ila and Michael; his son, Jeff and his sons, Zack and Jase, his finance, Jessica Dalton and her two children, Abby and Hunter.

The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to the Pardee Cancer Fund
