William “Bill” Grant Yager

William “Bill” Grant Yager 75 of Harrison passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. Bill was born on April 1, 1948 in Saginaw, Michigan the son of Grant Arliss Yager and Iva Waneta (Jenereaul) Yager. During his adolescent years, he lived in Coleman, Michigan. Bill traveled the United States and resided in many areas, but always called Harrison his home. Mr. Yager was united in marriage to Ms. Cheryl LaVonne Travis on July 14, 1967 in Gaylord, Michigan.

Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and playing with his remote-controlled cars. He especially enjoyed playing cribbage games with Cheryl. Bill held a very special love for Trixi and his family.

Surviving Mr. Yager is his wife of fifty-six years, Mrs. Chery L. Yager, one daughter, Jacky Robinson and husband Rick, one son, William Grant Yager II and wife Rhonda, one step-daughter, Sue Ghist, ten grandchildren; Ashlynn (Jeremiah), Kelsey, Michael, Rich, Matt (Heather), Amy (Rob), Bill (Anita), Justin (Chelsea), Jeremy (Angela), and Dillon, eleven great-grandchildren, one brother, Frank Yager and one sister, Shirley Green, plus many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Mr. Yager was preceded in death by his parents.

Celebration of Life services honoring Bill were held Friday, December 8, 2023 from Camille’s Prime of Mt. Pleasant. Inurnment will be in Pleasant Plains Cemetery at a future date.
