From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 15 Waste Management will hold a hazardous waste collection event at the Northern Oak Recycling and Disposal Facility in Harrison. Disposal is free for Clare County residents.
Limit of 100 pounds per household and 5,500-pound cutoff excluding used oil. Acceptable items include oil-based paints, aerosol cans, acids and bases, batteries, bulbs, cleaners, pesticides, solvents, motor oils, antifreeze, mercury containing thermometers/thermostats, and other chemicals.
Items not accepted are electronics, latex paints, trash, tires, freon containing appliances, radioactive materials and explosives.
This event is open to households in Clare County only. No businesses, commercial, or industrial.
