VAN “LLOYD” LLOYD ALLISON

Van “Lloyd” Lloyd Allison 62 of Harrison passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 28, 2020. Van was born April 6, 1957 in Ypsilanti, Michigan the son of Allen Melvin Lloyd Allison and Ida Jeanette (Barnes) Allison. Mr. Allison was united in marriage to Ms. Dawn D. Cooke on October 16, 1975 in Detroit, Michigan.

                Mr. Allison had resided in Harrison since 1979, moving from Detroit, Michigan. Van enjoyed working on trucks, camping, sitting around the campfire with family and friends drinking a beer, listening to old country music, hunting, fishing and cooking. He was known for his willingness to help anyone needing his assistance or providing a place to stay for those in need.

                Surviving Mr. Allison is his wife and best friend of forty-four years, Mrs. Dawn D. Allison of Harrison, one son, Allen Allison of Harrison, one daughter, Gwendolyn Allison of Traverse City, Michigan, ten grandchildren, seven sisters; Brenda Fountain of Minnesota, Cindy Floyd of Southgate, Michigan, Cari Allison of Brighton, Michigan, Shannon Bailey of Westland, Michigan, Dawn Bailey of Westland, April Bailey also of Westland and Sheila Fountain of Mount Clemens, Michigan, six brothers; Mike Fountain of Redford, Michigan, Rick Bailey of Harrison, Ted Bailey of Gibraltar, Michigan, Robert Allison of Westland, Brian Klug of Hale, Michigan and Richard Fountain of Inkster, Michigan, plus many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Mr. Allison was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Kriston Allison, two sons; Van Lloyd Allison and Michael Allison and one brother, Michael Allison.

                Funeral services honoring Mr. Allison will be held Sunday, February 2, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison with Chaplain Doug Bassett officiating. Visitation will take place on Sunday, February 2, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Harrison.
