The Cleaver is supported by advertising and readers like you. Writing and reporting for our readers has set the Cleaver apart from other local newspapers that are free and rely on advertising for publication. We have our readers in mind with every issue.
As our local businesses begin to struggle or close as non-essential businesses advertising is decreasing. In a typical week advertising makes up from 50% to 70% of the newspaper depending on the week/time of year. This last month we have had less than 35% paid space each week.
We ask our readers to consider a subscription to the Cleaver so we may continue to print and inform Clare County. Subscriptions are delivered by United States Postal Service and mailed from Harrison on Wednesday each week.
Call the Cleaver office at 989-539-7496 or mail payment to P O Box 436, Harrison, MI 48625.
Thank you for your continued support of the Clare County Cleaver.
