Susan Irene Roland

Susan Irene Roland, age 77, of Harrison passed Sunday, February 18, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her family. Susan was born April 24, 1946, in Owosso, Michigan, the daughter of Leon Sandford Morse and Mary Lou (Perkins) Morse. Susan was united in marriage to Mr. William Herbert Roland on August 26, 1967, in Lansing, Michigan. Susan had resided in Harrison since 1969, moving from Lansing, Michigan.

Mrs. Roland was a longtime member of Harrison WOTM Chapter 1804, she enjoyed visiting various Michigan Casino’s, planting and raising flowers, playing cards and bingo, cooking, especially for her family and friends, taking sporadic road trips, especially when the sun was shining.

Surviving Susan is her daughter, Patricia Roland of Gaylord, Michigan, two grandchildren: Autumn Smith and Mark McClellan and Doug Loughlin II; three great-grandchildren: Douglas Loughlin III, Elecktra Loughlin, and Brody McClellan; two sisters: Nancy Brant of Lansing and Cathy Nichols also of Lansing; one brother, Leon “Butch” Morse of Lansing, and numerous extended family members and friends. Susan was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Trena Hawkins and two grandchildren: Amy Roland and Cody Lampman.
