Every spring and fall students from the Sparks after school program at Harrison Middle and High School help clean up the Veterans Freedom Park. On Oct. 23, students swarmed the park with shovels, rakes, and leaf bags to put the gardens to bed for the winter. Ashley Wallace, supervisor for the Harrison program told Cleaver it is the students way of giving back to the community and how much they enjoy it.
