Skeels Christian School Classes Move to 2 New Campuses

Posted

The 48-year tradition of high-quality Christian education continues this fall for students of Skeels Christian School. Our location has changed, but our focus remains the same: to prepare students for success by teaching core values, traditional academic principles, and spiritual development.

SCS maintains a competitive focus both academically and through their sports program. Students compete throughout the state in athletic and academic competition through the Michigan Association of Christian Schools (MACS). SCS has continually placed high in statewide testing in subjects like history, science, math, and English. Students have ranked among the top five statewide, year after year. Sports are an important part of development for SCS students. Soccer, basketball, and volleyball teams compete both at the local and statewide level. In the fall of 2022, the boys’ soccer team was unrelenting as they battled game after game to take the MACS Championship.

Skeels Christian School is excited to announce their move. Classes for prekindergarten through sixth grade will be held on their new Main Campus location at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 3089 Pratt Lake Road, Gladwin. The new South Campus, for seventh- through 12th-grade students, is located at Gladwin Free Methodist Church, 1312 N. State St. in Gladwin. Registration for returning and new students is taking place now. For more information, or to register your student, please call 989-240-2190.

SCS would like to thank the outpouring of community support that has been shown through this transition. A special thank you to Emmanuel Baptist Church, Gladwin Free Methodist Church, and Our Savior Lutheran Church for their graciousness to Skeels Christian School.
