Semi Truck Accident Spills Road Brine, Injures Driver

Multiple agencies responded to a semi-truck rollover crash on July 26 at the corner of Larch Rd. & North Clare Ave. in Harrison. A fully loaded chloride truck with attached pup lost control at appx. 12:00 p.m. and rolled over the main truck and cab, leaving the pup tank upright on the roadway. The driver was injured and transported to MyMichigan Medical Center Clare for treatment and was kept overnight for additional observation. The tanker was carrying 9,500 gallons of road brine and spilled approximately 300 gallons. Cleanup crews were on scene and took care of the spill. Crews were on scene from 12:09 p.m. and cleared at 4:47 p.m.
