RUSSELL DORAN NORMAN

                Russell Doran Norman age 88 of Prudenville, Michigan, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023 in Lima, Ohio. Russell was born June 10, 1935 in Frost Township, Clare County, Michigan the son of Henry C. Norman Sr. and Maude B. Hayes. Soon after his high school graduation, Russell enlisted in the United States Army and honorably served his country during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Norman was united in marriage to Ms. Frances Ferris on March 1, 1968 in Flint, Michigan. Mrs. Norman preceded Russell in death in 2012. Russell retired from General Motors Corporation as a crane operator after thirty-five years of dedicated service.

                Russell had resided in Prudenville since 2022, moving from Hot Springs, Arkansas and previously from Flint. While residing in Hot Springs, Russell was a member of Piney Baptist Church, and served his Lord as a Pastor Emeritus and Sunday School Teacher. He enjoyed reading and watching all televised sporting events.

                Surviving Mr. Norman are his two daughters; Dayna Hanson of Hot Springs and Becky Yurk and husband William Yurk Jr. of Prudenville, two sons; David McCowen and wife Patricia of Wayland, Michigan and Tony McCowen and wife Jill of La Mesa, California, many grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, plus many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Mr. Norman also was preceded in death by his parents, one son-in-law, Larry Hanson and several siblings.

                Celebration of Life services for Russell will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in Morning Star Cemetery, Hot Springs, Arkansas.
