Rosemarie "Rosie" Zoellner, age 87, of Clare, formerly of Alma, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Niche Aging of Clare under the care of Optimal Hospice.
In following with Rosie's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
Rosie was born on May 30, 1938, in Caro, daughter of Richard J. and Wanda H. (Richardson) Pfannes. Rosie worked for General Motors for many years, before retiring and moving to Florida. There she opened an ice cream shop and ran it for many years. She had a gift for crafting and enjoyed making clothing. She loved to work on puzzles, listening to old country music, had an amazing and unique sense of humor, and had a deep love for her siblings, children, and grandchildren.
Rosie is survived by her children, Kathy Conklin of Ithaca, Mike Hein of Harrison, and Tina (Matt) Kralik of Florida; several grandchildren including granddaughters, Michelle, Amber, and Helen; siblings, Doug (Verna) Pfannes of Harrison, Margaret King of Frankenmuth, and Sally (Robert) Haiser of Chesaning; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Rosie was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Walter Hein and Butch Hein; and special friend Dan Manly.
