Quilt of Valor Awarded

Len Eaton of Clare was awarded a Quilt of Valor by Judy Tritten, QOV volunteer presenter, Tuesday, July 25 at Pioneer Estates in Clare. Eaton served on the front lines in Korea, was in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953, and was honorably discharged having attained the rank of corporal. Eaton also celebrated his birthday that day and was surrounded by friends and family. Quilts of Valor Foundation awards quilts to active-duty military and honorably discharged veterans as a way to comfort and heal them.  For more information, or to nominate, visit QOVF.org.
