Precincts Prepare for Primary Election

Public Accuracy Testing an Opportunity for Voters to ‘See How It Works’

Posted

HARRISON – This year will see the first time the state’s recently enacted proposal, which instituted nine days of early voting, put into use. While Feb. 27 Presidential Primary election day voting will be available at precincts, the early voting in Clare County will be done at the County Building. As usual, residents had the opportunity to observe the Public Accuracy Testing of voting machines and ballots. The testing process at precincts is essentially the same as any other election day, there have just been program updates. At County, however, more than a thousand actual ballots had to be tested: that due to all precincts being represented and including the two political parties, as well as no party, and proposals. Precinct 1B voters in Arthur and Hamilton townships will be voting on a Gladwin Community Schools operating millage proposal.
