"Patrick John "PJ" Adams, age 69, of Harrison, MI passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. He was born on September 11, 1957 in Morenci, Michigan, son of Paul and Marjorie (Hill) Adams. He graduated from Morenci High School with the class of 1976 and immediately enlisted in the U.S. Army. Pat proudly served his country for 21 years, retiring in 1997 from full time Michigan Army National Guard Co. B 156 Sig. Bn. While serving, he earned his Bachelor Degree in Business from Davenport University. After Pat's retirement, he went on to be a shift manager at TRW Automotive until 2000, after which he was a supervisor at Kiekert until his retirement in 2015. During his time at Kiekert, Pat met the love of his life, Leann "Lee", who he married on May 23, 2008 and spent 19 wonderful years together.

Pat's sense of duty extended from his career to his volunteer activities. He served as the President of the South Cranberry Lake Homeowners Association since 2019, where he was referred to by many as "The Mayor". The community was a big part of his life, where he had monthly parties at "the Pavillion" for all to enjoy. Pat was the township representative for Cranberry Lake, advocating for improvements to make the lake great for all to enjoy, even though he was not one to enjoy the water.

Pat was active with Hayes Township serving on the Election Receiving Board, as an Election Inspector, Chair of Board of Review, and Secretary of the Planning Commission. During his time there he became a friend to all. He made it a priority to never miss a meeting, where he always signed up for public comment, making it his goal to make the community a better place for all. Pat also attended the monthly community meetings for the Clare County Airport, where he was a great supporter of all the events hosted by them. Pat was also a member of the Harrison Area Pilots Association.

Pat was currently running as the Democratic candidate for the Clare County Road Commission. He was a frequent visitor at the Road Commission as a community activist, trying to make the roads better for all to travel. He was a consistent attendee of the Clare County Road Commission Planning meetings, which are held every two weeks.

Pat was a proud Veteran and always attended the Veterans breakfasts hosted all around Harrison. He knew everyone by name and had the most incredible memory. If you had a question, Pat either knew the answer or knew exactly who to call. He was a friend to all that he met. Family was everything to him. He will be missed by many that loved him dearly.

Left to honor the memory of Pat is his loving wife, Lee; children, Jessica (Brian) Adams-Hahn, Bellinda (Dale Hollern) Adams, Angie (Robb Didur) Bowles, Christy (Donny) Green; 15 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mike (Terry Shibler) Adams, Doug (Margie) Adams, Dawn (Chuck) Williams, Dana Beaverson; and mother of his children, Brigitte Smith. Pat was a beloved uncle to several nieces and nephews; loving nephew to many aunts and uncles; loved by many cousins; and a friend to many that adored him deeply. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ron Adams and Dennis Adams; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his beloved furbabies, Chance and Cooper.

In following Pat's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Hayes Township Hall in Harrison, MI on Sunday, October 25, 2026 from 2pm-4pm and at the AmVets Post 1957 in Adrian, MI on Friday, October 30, 2026 at 5pm, with a final walk through and salute with full honors at 5:30 pm. A Celebration of Life will take place in the spring of 2027 at his home, taking place at "the Pavillion", which is where Pat loved making memories with friends and family. Memorial contributions may be made in Pat's memory to Veterans Affairs. Envelopes will be available at all Celebrations.
