Patricia “Patty” Ann Mary Ryan

Patricia “Patty” Ann Mary Ryan age 74 of Grawn, Michigan passed away Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Munson Medical Center of Traverse City, Michigan. Patricia was born May 30, 1950, in West Branch, Michigan, the daughter of Eunice Mary Ann (Canniff) Ryan and Stanley Melville Ryan. Patty was a graduate of Harrison Community Schools, class of 1969. She furthered her education at Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, earning her Bachelor of Science degree. Patty committed over thirty years of her life working with the United States Postal Service as a mail clerk.

Patty had resided in Grawn for over 38 years, Harrison for 29 years and Mt. Pleasant for 2 years.  She loved to travel, not just in the United States, but abroad, she visited: Kenya, Africa, Italy, France, England and Scotland. She was a mystery reader, BBC mystery buff, computer techy, genealogy researcher and forever dog lover. Patty also enjoyed creating sewn and crocheted keepsakes for her family and friends.

Surviving are her two nephews; Daniel Curtis Ryan and wife Tracy of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Dustin Allan Ryan of Norton Shores, Michigan and many dear and close friends, Patty was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Daniel “Dano” Lee Ryan, nephew, Daryl L. Ryan and her beloved fur babies; Puddles, Sandy, Soxie, Bear and Otter.

Celebration of Life services honoring Patty will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. from Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel and Cremation Service, 165 W. Oak St., Harrison, with family and friends officiating. A time of gathering and sharing of memories will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Inurnment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Harrison, immediately following services. Memorial gifts in memory of Patty may be considered to: Clare County Animal Shelter, Harrison.
