Pamelia T. Everdeen passed away peacefully in her home on April 9, 2026, with her loving husband and children by her side.
Pam was born April 10, 1944, in St. Louis, Michigan and lived a life filled with love, kindness and devotion to her family. She married the love of her life, Rodger W. Everdeen, on Jan. 5, 1962 and they spent 64 years of beautiful marriage together.
Pam was a loving and caring mother with a heart of gold. She was a stay-at-home mom in Ithaca for her three beautiful children, creating a warm and nurturing love-filled home. Once her children were in school, Pam started working as a lunch aide at Sumner Elementary and later as a paraprofessional at Ithaca South Elementary school, where she made a difference in the lives of many children with her gentle spirit and caring nature.
After retirement, Pam and Rodger moved from Ithaca to Harrison, where they turned their cabin into their peaceful “forever home.” She spent many years enjoying the simple pleasures of life with family and friends.
Pam had a creative and joyful spirit. She loved crocheting and card making, always putting her heart into every piece she created. Pam was known for her love of the Red Hat group, her bright smile, and warm and caring spirit she shared with everyone she met. Family meant everything to her.
Pam is survived by her devoted husband, Rodger W. Everdeen; her children, Tammy J. Sowles (Steve), Daniel S. Everdeen (Bonnie), and Robert J. (Bob) Everdeen (Giovonna); eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She loved them all dearly.
Pam is preceded in death by her parents John and Clio Vogel, brother Timothy Vogel, and grandson Spencer Sowles.
Pam will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who truly knew her. Her kindness, creativity and beautiful smile will forever remain in their hearts.
A private family ceremony will be held at an undisclosed date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Pam’s honor to the Leota Community Church (1946 Muskegon Rd. Harrison, Michigan 48625) where Pam was a beloved member.
