Johnathan Charles Davis, of Lansing, plead guilty on September 20, 2021, to unlawful driving away a motor vehicle as a habitual 3rdoffender. On, March 13, 2021, the victim reported that his vehicle had just been stolen. The vehicle was recovered the following day and the interior had been significantly damaged. The Clare County Sheriff’s Department handled the investigation. He was sentenced on November 22, 2021, by Judge Mienk to serve 18 months to 5 years in prison, with credit for 116 days already served. He was also ordered to pay $2372.92 in total fines, costs, and restitution.
Davis was also on probation at the time, and plead guilty to probation violations. He was sentenced to 23 months to 5 years, with credit for 502 days already served. This sentence will run concurrent with the sentence on the above case.
 
Seneca Allen Sybert, of Harrison, plead guilty to probation violations on October 25, 2021. He was sentenced on December 13, 2021, to serve 28 months to 30 years with credit for 376 days already served. The underlying conviction was for Delivery of a Controlled Substance less than 50 grams, which he plead guilty to in June 2019.
 
Clayton Robert Reed, of Harrison, plead guilty on September 9, 2021, to two counts of receiving and concealing firearms, receiving and concealing stolen property $1000 to $20000 in value, and felon in possession of a firearm as a habitual 3rd offender. The investigation in this matter was conducted by the Clare County Sheriff’s Department. On December 20, 2021, the defendant was sentenced by a visiting judge to serve 2 years to 20 years on each count, with credit for 281 days already served. The sentences will run concurrent with one another. The defendant was also ordered to pay $1402 in total fines and costs.
Reed also plead guilty in another file on September 9, 2021, to Possession of Methamphetamine. He was sentenced to serve 6 months to 10 years, with credit for 281 days served, with a total of $1508 fines and costs assessed. This sentence was concurrent with the sentence in the other case.
 
Samantha Auxier, of Gladwin, plead guilty on September 9, 2021, to Delivery/Manufacture of Methamphetamine. This charge resulted from a traffic stop performed by the Michigan State Police. It was ultimately discovered during the investigation that the defendant had over 100 grams of methamphetamine, baggies and scales, and over $6,000 in cash on her person and throughout her vehicle. She was sentenced on January 5, 2022, by a visiting judge to serve 4.25 years to 20 years, with credit for 17 days previously served. She was also ordered to pay a total of $1758 in fines and costs.
 
James Carl Case, III, of Gladwin, plead guilty on July 13, 2021, to Delivery/Manufacture Methamphetamine as a habitual 3rdoffender. The investigation was conducted by the Clare County Sheriff’s Department. He was sentences on December 6, 2021, by Judge Mienk, to serve 4 years to 40 years with credit for 76 days previously served. He was also ordered to pay $1698.00 in total fines and costs. This sentence will run concurrent with another sentence he had recently received on a separate case.
