Mildred “Millie” J. Holcomb, age 90, of Lake, Michigan passed away Friday, April 8, 2022, at Medilodge of Clare.

She was born May 7, 1931, in Lansing, the daughter of Howard and Berniece (Shores) Hudson.  She attended Riverdale High School and married the love of her life, Raymond Holcomb, on February 20, 1948, in Stanton, Michigan.  For many years Millie worked at Saginaw Savings and Loan in Alma, Michigan. Later she worked as a Real Estate Agent in the Lake, Michigan area.

Together they raised four children in and around Alma, Michigan. She enjoyed motorcycle trail riding with family and friends, winter snow skiing, and boat riding on the lake. An avid tennis player, Millie played in both Michigan and Mesa, Arizona, where they resided in the winter months, winning a variety of awards in the senior division. Other activities she enjoyed were gold prospecting and hiking in Arizona with her husband and groups of friends.  Her remaining years were spent living full time back in Michigan on Crooked Lake with husband Ray.

Millie was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Raymond, son Steven Holcomb, brother Joel Hudson, and sisters Alice Bradley-Jenkins, Mary Laskosky, and Lorraine Britten-Poe.

She leaves behind her children, Raymond Ben (Shari) Holcomb, Mark (Judith) Holcomb, Linda (Bruce) Cole, 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Per Millie’s wishes, cremation has taken place with private interment to be held in Sibley Cemetery at a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home, Alma.
