Maharas Completes Municipal Clerks Institute

City of Harrison utility billing clerk Kathy Maharas recently completed the Michigan Association of Municipal Clerks Institute. Municipal employees attend a week of courses each year for three years and are awarded their certificate.

Maharas was recognized at the Monday, March 20 regular meeting of Harrison City Council as having completed the program. Justin Cavanaugh, city manager/clerk, also attended and completed year 1 of  the training program.

“I’m so thankful that the council sent me. It taught me so much,” Maharas said of the experience
