Ledee Marie Thorne 

Ledee Thorne, age 72, of Harrison passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at MyMichigan Medical Center in Midland surrounded by her family.  Ledee was born Wednesday, May 23, 1951, the only daughter of Nancy and William Delazzer.  She was married to Vietnam Veteran Danny Thorne on March 22, 1996, in Jackson, Michigan.  She worked with Danny for eleven years at Manchester Stamping as a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor.  Ledee attended Antelope Valley High School in Lancaster, CA. 

     Ledee lived in Harrison since 2005.  She loved gardening, traveling, feeding the birds, and spending time with her family.  Her hobbies included 4 wheeling, golf cart rides and snowmobiling.  She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed garage sales and shopping.  She was devoted to her family and a wonderful friend. 

     Surviving Ledee is her husband of 28 years, Danny Thorne of Harrison, their five loving children: Bobby Valpatic of Colon, Michigan, Lauretta Gilson of Stockbridge, Michigan, Sherry Thorne of Powderly, Kentucky, Heather Wood of Gladwin, Michigan, and Danny Thorne Jr. of Harrison, Michigan.  Ledee and Danny were blessed with 20 grandchildren and multiple great grandchildren.  Ledee was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Tom Delazzer.

     Family and friends are celebrating her life with a private memorial in May.  She will be laid to rest in Fort Custard Military Cemetery in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Ledee is forever loved and will always be missed.
