KAREN LYNN RITZER

Karen Lynn Ritzer 67 of Harrison, passed away at her home on Tuesday, December 24, 2019. Karen was born December 5, 1952 in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of Frank Breen and Barbara Janet (Raymond) Breen. Karen graduated from Northview High School, Grand Rapids in 1971. Karen was united in marriage to Mr. Joseph E. Ritzer III on September 3, 1980 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Mrs. Ritzer had resided in Harrison since 2014, moving from Midland, Michigan and formerly of Grand Rapids.

Mrs. Ritzer retired from TDS Telecom after fifteen years as a Sales Coach. Karen enjoyed reading, arts and crafts, boating and traveling with her husband.

Surviving Karen is her loving husband and best friend of thirty-nine years, Mr. Joseph E. Ritzer III of Harrison, one daughter, Jamie Mosier and husband Kyle of Cincinnati, Ohio, one step-daughter, Jennifer Jean and husband J. Craig of Midland, Michigan, her mother, Barbara Breen of Grand Rapids, Michigan, mother in-law, Zoe Ritzer of Gladwin, Michigan, four grandchildren; Tyler Jean, Sarah Jean, Nicholas Jean and Julia Jean, one sister, Kim Healy and husband Dean of Grand Rapids, one brother, Kevin Breen and wife Theresa of Traverse City, Michigan, plus many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Mrs. Ritzer was preceded in death by her father Mr. Frank Breen and her father in-law, Mr. Joseph E. Ritzer Jr.

Visitation for Mrs. Ritzer will be Monday, December 30, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Stocking Funeral Home, 165 W. Oak St, Harrison. Burial will be in Nester Township Cemetery, Roscommon, County on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at 12:00 p.m.  Memorial gifts in memory of Karen may be considered to: MidMichigan Home Care, 3007 N.
