Iva Louise Burnett (Hall)

Iva Louise Burnett (Hall), 93, of Harrison, MI., died on June 15, 2026, in Mount Pleasant, MI. Iva was born on March 16,1933 to Lester and Beatrice (Root) Hall, Gladwin, MI., After high school graduation, Iva was united in marriage to John (Jack) W. Burnett, Jr., on July 14, 1951 in Marion MI. The couple settled in Harrison where they raised their five children. Iva was a devoted wife, mother grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to taking care of her family and spending time with family and friends, Iva enjoyed traveling with her husband, bowling, reminiscing and listening to the stories of others, and she was a gifted cook and baker, among other things. She was a persevering woman with a good sense of humor and a great work ethic; throughout her life, she was employed with Ashcraft’s, the Surrey House and Harrison Hillside Elementary School. Iva cherished life on the farm, taking care of her family to include the family pets and took care to stay in touch with loved ones as much as possible even as they lived away from the Gladwin and Harrison area where she lived her entire life.

Surviving Mrs. Burnett is one son Greg (Kristin) Burnett of Riley, KS., four daughters Brenda (Howard) Wilson of Harrison; Jan (Rick) Garver of Clare; Jackie (Lee) Stafford of Beaverton and Pat (Ernie) Marsh of Sears; one sister Lois Spangler of Milwaukee, WI; one brother Glen Hall of Harrison, eleven grandchildren Stephanie, Sarah, Shawn, John, Terra, Michael, Kimberly, Samantha, Jamie, Jeremy and Josh, numerous great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Burnett was preceded in death by her husband, John (Jack) Burnett, October 7, 2006; parents Lester and Beatrice (Root) Hall; father and mother in-law John and Stella (Salisbury) Burnett, two sisters Bonnie (Ronnie Allison and Leatrice Woolley; one brother George Hall and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial will be established with Isabella Medical Care Facility in Mount Pleasant and a private graveside service will be held as the family gathers.
