Hobert Dale Beavers, age 93, of Harrison passed away on February 21, 2024. Dale was born on December 3, 1930, in Harrison to Hobert Lawton Beavers and Goldie Elizabeth (Bailey) Beavers. He married Marjorie Lee Baker on July 3, 1954. Dale is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Gail Miller and Dellamae Mitchell, sister-in-law Gloria Beavers and brothers-in-law Everett Mitchell, Vern Dixon, and Terry Miller. He is also preceded in death by his daughters Lyn and Lori Beavers. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie, their children Lisa Beavers, Denise (Dan) Esch, Tim (Terri) Beavers, John Beavers, Paul (Jodie) Beavers, David Beavers and grandchildren Katelyn Esch, Madison (Alexander Ergo) Esch, Zachary (Megan) Beavers, Ethan Beavers, Erica Beavers, Mallorie Beavers, Matthew Beavers, Nolan Beavers, and Javier Beavers. Dale was drafted and served in the Korean War from November 1951 to November 1953. He was an employee of the Harrison Postal Service for 31 years until his retirement in 1990. While there he worked as a clerk, postmaster, and rural route carrier, but his real calling was as a minister in the Community of Christ church. His faith and trust in God sustained him throughout his entire life. Dale was a true servant of God and officiated at many weddings and funerals in the community.

Dale loved to be outdoors in nature and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Over the years there were many hunting and fishing trips in Michigan, Colorado, and Wyoming, which provided more than a few memorable moments that seemed to grow greater with each retelling. Dale was a jack-of-all trades and could fix most anything that needed fixing. He loved to build things and was a very skilled carpenter. Dale was a great father to his eight children, and later cherished his role as grandpa. Every one of the grandchildren have their own special memories of going fishing with him. Above all, Dale was a people person. He loved a good story, being surrounded by family and watching any of the Detroit or Michigan teams play. He was a humble man with a huge heart.
