Harrison Man Arrested After Making Terroristic Threats

Timothy Towery, age 49 of Harrison, was charged today by the Clare County Prosecutor’s Office with:  False Report of Terrorism and Habitual Offender 2nd Notice. He was arraigned in 80th District Court by Magistrate Steven Worpell and his bond was set at $100,000 cash / surety/ 10%. Towery remains lodged in the Clare County Jail.  

On 10-29-21 at approximately 6:00 p.m. Central Dispatch received a call of a male making terroristic threats towards a service provider building in Mt. Pleasant. Deputies learned that the male had called the facility multiple times and threatened to shoot people inside and outside the building. Deputies obtained search and arrest warrants and the 49 year old Harrison man was taken into custody without incident at his home in the area of Cranberry Lake and Harrison Ave in Hayes Township. Deputies seized a high powered rifle with several rounds of ammunition. He remains lodged in the Clare County Jail.
