GENE E. WHEELER

Gene E. Wheeler 82 of Harrison passed away peacefully at his home on December 10, 2019 surrounded by his family. Gene was born December 10, 1937 in Coral, Michigan, the son of Sheldon and Ethel (Temple) Wheeler. Mr. Wheeler had resided in Harrison since 2009, moving from Holt, Michigan and previously of Owosso. Gene was united in marriage to Jeanette K. Mrozek on October 19, 2009 in Holt.

                Surviving Mr. Wheeler is his wife of ten years, Mrs. Jeanette K. Wheeler of Harrison, three daughters; Cindi (Marty) Horak, Sheryl (Kevin) Combee and Becky Townsend, three sons; Steve (Denise) Wheeler, Mike (Shelley) Wheeler and Bruce (Michelle) Wheeler, twenty-two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two brothers; LaVerne Wheeler and Dean (Joyce) Wheeler, plus many nieces and nephews. Mr. Wheeler was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Elaine Jones.

                Celebration of Life services honoring Gene will take place on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. from Community Baptist Church, 452 North Clare Avenue, Harrison with Pastor Ron Callen officiating. Family and friends are encouraged to gather on Saturday, December 14, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service for a time of sharing. Inurnment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeview, Michigan.
