Eva Lucille Smith, age 87, of Harrison went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 8, 2024.
Funeral Services for Eva will take place at Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. The family will receive friends the day of the service from 10 a.m. until service time. Inurnment will take place in Pleasant Plains Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clare County Animal Shelter. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Eva was born June 17, 1936, in Ypsilanti, MI, daughter of Ray and Mary (Gross) Bullock. She married LeeRay Carl Smith on February 14, 1958, in Stockbridge, MI., Eva and LeeRay have been residence of Harrison since 1989, where they moved from Lansing. Eva enjoyed playing cards, putting together jigsaw puzzles, feeding and watching the wild birds in her yard, tending to her flower garden, watching old westerns, and rooting on the Green Bay Packers. She was a member of the Harrison Moose Lodge and active with the Women of the Moose Chapter 1804.
Eva is survived by her husband of 72 years, LeeRay Carl Smith, Sr.; son, Carl (Heather) Smith of Harrison; daughters, Linda (Robert)Boak, Sheryl Teves, Eva Albers, all of Harrison, and Marty (Scott) Chalmers of Lansing; daughter-in-law, Jessica Smith of Gladwin; many grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Eva was preceded in death by her son, LeeRay Carl Smith, Jr.; sons-in-law, William Teves and Larry Albers; parents; four brothers; and nine sisters.
