Eunice Rose 87 of Howard City, Michigan passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Eunice was born October 16, 1931 in Brooklyn, Michigan the daughter of Kenneth and Winifred (Crane) Brighton. Eunice was united in marriage to Mr. Robert “Bob” L. Rose Sr. on July 5, 1957 in Angola, Indiana. Mr. Rose preceded Eunice in death on September 14, 1993 after thirty-six years of marriage.

        Mrs. Rose had resided in Howard City since 1994, moving from Harrison and previously from Horton, Michigan. Eunice was a life member of GWRRA, a member of Senior Citizens Action Center of Howard City and a member of the Red Hat Society. Eunice enjoyed flower gardening, caning, making her famous fudge, crocheting and riding motorcycles.

        Surviving Eunice is her son, Robert L. Rose Jr. and wife Kathleen of Howard City, five daughters; Darlene Press and husband Mark of Jackson, Michigan, Arlene Ford also of Jackson, Vicky Dodd and husband Bob of Parma, Michigan, Gwen Wheaton and husband Bob of Orland, Indiana and Terry Hull and husband Charles of Jackson, two step-daughters; Catherine Kninola and husband Bob of Richland City, Indiana and Marsha Griffin of Michigan City, Indiana, twenty-eight grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, two sisters; Chloe VanDusn and husband Bud of Jackson and Ivadell Vogt and husband George of Vandercook Lake, Michigan plus many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Eunice also was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Betty Ambs and two brothers; Vernon Brighton and Eddie Brighton.

        Funeral services for Mrs. Rose will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison with Elder Julie Reinke officiating. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Summerfield Township Cemetery, Harrison.
