Diane Louise McCune

Diane Louise McCune age 80 of Harrison, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023 at her home. Diane was born August 4, 1943 in Shelton, Washington the daughter of Donald Bruce Groshong and Phyllis Anne (Noblett) Groshong. Diane graduated from Irene S. Reed High School, Shelton, Washington on June 8, 1962. Diane was united in marriage to Mr. Byron James McCune on August 29, 1964 in Shelton. Mr. McCune preceded Diane in death on June 25, 2022.

Mrs. McCune had resided in Harrison since 1994, moving from Grand Ledge, Michigan. Diane spent many years as a beautician and working the last few years as a deli clerk at Meijer of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, reading and being surrounded by her family and friends.

Surviving Mrs. McCune are her five children; Karen McCune of Mulliken, Michigan, Keith McCune and Star Lesatz-Conway of Grand Ledge, Michigan, Dawn McCune and Ken Tillison of Grand Ledge, James McCune of Eaton Rapids, Michigan and Gerald McCune and wife Laura of Charlotte, Michigan, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, plus many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Diane also was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Celebration of Life services for Diane was held Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel and Cremation Service with Mr. Ben Evers officiating. Inurnment will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan. Memorial gifts in memory of Diane may be considered to: Parkinson’s Foundation.
